Pistacia chinensis
The Chinese Pistachio is a medium sized ornamental tree from China and Taiwan
This species is planted as a street tree in temperate areas worldwide due to its attractive fruit and autumn foliage.
It is extremely winter hardy and has a superior level of drought, heat and wind tolerance.
In the summer the female Chinese Pistachio produces panicles of inconspicuous red dish flowers that are followed by small green berries that turn red to reddish-purple in the autumn, which are relished by birds.
